Below is a letter from Superintendent of Schools Bill McKersie, sent to parents and staff today, canceling a GHS student trip to Germany that had been scheduled for April.

Second police officer could soon be assigned to cover GHS and middle schools

It looks as though a second school resource officer (SRO) will be assigned to Greenwich High School. But the question remains how it will be paid for.

McKersie says safety and security priorities for school district

Efforts to strengthen school security are ongoing in Greenwich, but Superintendent of Schools William McKersie said last week that he hopes to give a more “definitive statement” about it in early February.
