Column is out of touch with reality that protests are responding to

Last week, this paper ran a column that was misinformed, foolish and insulting to me.


It’s not surprising that protests following the deaths of Eric Garner and Michael Brown come to Greenwich. Sadly, neither is it surprising to see that these protests have been too quickly mischaracterized. They are not anti-cop. They are pro-justice.

Adding their voices to the protests across the country, close to 150 Greenwich High School students protested decisions made by grand juries in two separate incidents of alleged improper police action leading to the deaths of unarmed black men.
