The threshold of summer

It has been three weeks since I became an alumna of Greenwich Academy, and I have to admit that occasionally, graduating from high school does not feel very different from finishing any other year of school.

Thoughts on the last days

“Pom-poms, polos and pick-up trucks.” That alliterative sentence fragment was how I described my first day of senior year in my first Growing Up Greenwich column in October.

The ‘senior spring’ debate

The first thing that most of my teachers warned my classmates and me about when they handed out their syllabuses at the beginning of the school year was that “there is no such thing as ‘senior spring.’”

The allure of Greenwich Point

Over the weekend, I received my Greenwich Point parking pass in the mail and, as I scraped off my yellow 2013 parking sticker and replacing it with the black and white 2014 pass, I was reminded of how close summer truly is.
