GHS Roots & Shoots Club wins grant for community garden

Members of the GHS Roots & Shoots Club — Renè Jameson, Sophie Lindh and Sara Stober — participated in and won the first annual school grant competition sponsored by Pitch Your Peers (PYP).

Community garden almost ready to bloom on Bible Street

Gardeners throughout Greenwich will soon have the chance to take part in a townwide project with the official launch of a community garden on Bible Street.

On behalf of the board of Greenwich Community Gardens, I’d like thank the RTM and the town of Greenwich for supporting us and granting us a lease for the first public/private partnership community garden in Greenwich.

RTM should support community garden

As a “dirt gardener” my entire life and a volunteer with Greenwich Community Gardens for five years, I urge the 230 members of the Representative Town Meeting to approve a lasting legacy for all of Greenwich.
