Schools team up to raise money for Children Against Mines Program

On Sunday, April 24, from 9-noon, the students of North Mianus and Cos Cob are hosting CHAMPathon to help raise money and get them closer to their goal of $25,000 (the cost of a mine detection dog).

Students at the Beacon School in Stamford recently had the chance to spend a morning with Colonel Perry Baltimore from the Marshall Legacy Institute (MLI) and participate in its Children Against Mines Program (CHAMPS).

Fifth grade students from North Mianus Elementary in Greenwich organized a dog walk on March 30 at Greenwich Point, to raise money and awareness for the CHAMPS organization.
