Philanthropist, president and co-founder of ACGT receives award

Barbara Netter — the president and co-founder of Alliance for Cancer Gene Therapy (ACGT), a Stamford-based nonprofit devoted to advancing cancer research and treatment — has been awarded the John H. Filer Award by the Connecticut Council of Philanthropy.

Philanthropists honored for service

Barbara Netter and her late husband Edward Netter have been awarded the American Society of Gene and Cell Therapy (ASGCT) Distinguished Service Award for their contributions to the field of genetic and cellar therapy.

Center for HOPE honors Netter

At its annual luncheon in Darien on April 23, the Center for HOPE recognized Greenwich resident Barbara Netter for her many contributions toward the advancement of gene therapy-based cancer treatments.
