Greenwich gymnasts fall to Trumbull, 124.75-107.50

The Greenwich High School gymnastics team hosted Trumbull High School this evening at the Greenwich YWCA, but was unable to pull away, as the Golden Eagles came away with the 124.75-107.50 victory.

Big Red was led by Tori Mann, who had career best routine on bars and scored an 8.1. She finished third overall in the all-around with 28.7 points. Her score on the bars placed her second in that event.

Emily Clarke also fared well in the meet. Her score of 7.9 on the floor exercise was good enough for second overall. She also competed on vault, finishing tied for second with a score of 8.1. Teammate Alice Statham also took home a silver, finishing the beam with a score of 7.25. In addition to her performance on the beam, Statham also had her season best performance on the floor exercise, grabbing a score of 7.3.

Joining Statham on netting a season best on the floor routine was Hannah Klein, who finished with a score of 7.5.

The loss put Greenwich at 3-6 on the season. The Cardinals will look to get back to their winning ways on Thursday when they compete against Westhill High School.
