Lacrosse clinic registration under way

The Department of Parks and Recreation has opened registration for the town of Greenwich’s Co-Ed indoor lacrosse clinic.

The clinic will be held at the Western Greenwich Civic Center for children ages six to 12-years-old. Children who are between six and eight-years-old will play from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. and children who are nine to 12-years-old will play from 7:30 to 8:15 p.m. The clinic would be for seven Mondays starting Jan. 28 through March 18.

This introductory non-contact clinic will teach the basic fundamentals of lacrosse. Stick work, passing, catching, shooting, basic offensive and defensive skills, and small-sided games will be played.

The cost for the seven sessions is $95 and must be paid upon registration. Interested people are being urged to sign up early because space is limited to the first 12 children per class.
