Jurassic lecture and fossil identification at Bruce Museum

Jurassic period expert Nicholas G. McDonald will speak at the Bruce Museum in Greenwich on Thursday, June 22, from 6-8 p.m. The author of Window into the Jurassic World will discuss the fossil life of Connecticut and Massachusetts 200 million years ago, during the Age of Dinosaurs.

McDonald will take guests back in time to the real Jurassic park, where shallow waters of a nearby ancient lake teemed with fishes and carnivorous dinosaurs hunted along the shores.

From 6-7 p.m., the Museum offers time for visitors to bring in their fossils to be identified by a paleontologist. The Museum galleries also will be open and light refreshments are available.

The lecture begins at 7 p.m. Admission is $15, and free for Museum members and students with ID.
