Relay For Life of Greenwich this weekend

The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Greenwich will be held Saturday, June 10-11, from 6 p.m.-6 a.m., at Brunswick School, Cosby Turf Field, 1252 King Street, Greenwich.

Cancer survivors, caregivers, volunteers, and community members will unite in an effort to free the world from the pain and suffering of cancer.

Funds raised help the American Cancer Society provide free information and support for people facing the disease today, and fund cancer research that will help protect future generations. During Relay For Life events, members of each team take turns walking or running around the track or path. Teams participate in fundraising in the months leading up to the event.

Relay For Life schedule of events:

  • Survivor and Caregiver Reception 4:30 p.m.
  • Opening Ceremony, 6:30 p.m.
  • Luminaria Ceremony, 9 p.m.
  • Closing Ceremony, 6 a.m.

Activities include a silent auction, Tae Kwon Doe demonstration, team fundraisers, and more.
