Marguerite Elisofon

The Greenwich Family YMCA will welcome guest speaker Marguerite Elisofon on Sunday, Dec. 4, from 2:30-5 p.m., to discuss her memoir, My Picture Perfect Family: What Happens When One Twin Has Autism.

In this book, Marguerite chronicles her lifelong dedication to helping her twin daughter, Samantha, who was diagnosed as a toddler. She reveals how autism not only affects one person, but the whole family. Marguerite will discuss her experiences and what she has learned over the past 25 years, as she has gone through the highs and lows of having a family member living on the spectrum.

Learn about their incredible journey from fighting for Samantha’s educational opportunities in a time where there was little to no assistance available to watching her graduate college and pursue a career as a singer and actress. Marguerite Elisofon is an autism activist whose insight, brutal honesty and candid humor is invaluable for families in any stage of life.

Greenwich YMCA is located at 50 East Putnam Avenue.

RSVP to Betsy Culeman at [email protected] or call 203-869-1630, ext. 306
