First Congregational Church of Stamford holds free community Thanksgiving dinner

On Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 24, the community is invited to the 46th annual Thanksgiving Dinner at First Congregational Church of Stamford, located between Bedford and Prospect Streets. The holiday celebration begins at noon with an interfaith worship service, followed by a social time with refreshments at 12:30 pm.

At 1 p.m. a family-style, turkey dinner with all the trimmings will be served. There will be no charge and no collection at the dinner.

Transportation, if needed, is available to and from the church and should be requested when making a reservation. If you are unable to leave your home, a volunteer can deliver a dinner to your home.

To make a reservation, for transportation, or to have a meal delivered, call the church office at 203-323-0200 by 3 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 23. When requesting transportation or shut-in delivery, give your complete address.
