Cos Cob Library hosts Because Moments Matter, paintings by Elizabeth Agresta

The Friends of the Cos Cob Library host Because Moments Matter, recent paintings by Elizabeth Agresta Sept. 27-Oct. 31, in the community room of the Cos Cob Library.

Opening reception will be held on Thursday, Oct. 6, 6-8 p.m.

Elizabeth Agresta is a third generation artist who is proud to carry on a family legacy in the creative arts, which includes:  poetry, ceramic arts, culinary arts, photography, writing, and, of course, painting.

After years of work in oncology and hospice, she is now a dedicated full-time artist.

Using layers of acrylics, graphite and oils, “her paintings convey an extraordinary sense of sanctity, serenity, and introspection.”                        

Inspired by the wonders of nature, “My paintings are created with a passion for the natural world and, always, much respect for its limits.
