Art Society of Old Greenwich holds 65th annual Sidewalk Art Show and Sale Sept. 10 and 11

The Art Society of Old Greenwich will hold its 65th annual Sidewalk Art Show and Sale Saturday, Sept. 10, and Sunday, Sept. 11, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Colorful artworks in all media and in all styles will be on exhibit outdoors along Sound Beach Avenue in Old Greenwich as they have been annually since 1951, when the show began.

The Sidewalk Show will include watercolor, oil, acrylic, drawing/graphics, photography, pastel, mixed media and sculpture. Adding to the festivity, Sound Beach Avenue merchants offer sidewalk sales, and cafes set out tables for dining al fresco.

A special feature of this event is the Sidewalk Art Show for Young Artists, where children and teens (up to age 17) will exhibit their paintings, drawings, collages, photography and sculpture.  The Sidewalk Art Show for Young Artists will be located at the Feinsod Hardware Co., 268 Sound Beach Avenue. There is no admission charged for either art show.

All artists, adults and children, are welcome to submit works of art to these non-juried shows. You do not need to be a member of the ASOG. For submission dates, locations and entry fees, visit the ASOG website, artsocietyofoldgreenwich.com.
