Greenwich Library hosts adult book groups

Greenwich Library sponsors four adult book groups focusing on a variety of genres and topics. The latest addition is Fiction Addiction, a club focused on contemporary fiction which was launched last spring by Library staffers Joanne Gaither and Robin Terzi. Robin’s work in circulation makes her keenly aware of new and popular titles and Joanne often assists patrons in selecting reading material. The new club meets every other month.

The third meeting of Fiction Addiction will be held on Monday, Sept. 12, from 6-7:30 p.m. in the Meeting Room. The club will discuss The Good Father by Noah Hawley, author of the most talked about book of the summer, Before the Fall, for the group’s third read. We invite you to bring titles to recommend for the group’s next read. Future Fiction Addiction titles may be collaboratively selected.

The libraries have 20 physical copies of The Good Father including one large print copy. There are also downloadable audiobook and ebook options, plus a CD. Check the catalog for location and availability.

According to a Kirkus review, “The novel ultimately becomes as much about a father’s quest for meaning and understanding as about a son’s political and social alienation – and Hawley delivers on the complex psychology of father-son relationships.”
