On Jan. 12: Gabe Lyons to speak on courage and faith

Gabe Lyons is set to speak at Christ Church of Greenwich on Jan. 12 about courage and faith.

Mr. Lyons is the author of The Next Christians: The Good News About the End of Christian America, and UnChristian: What a New Generation Really Thinks About Christianity and Why It Matters, a bestselling book discussing what he calls the “pervasiveness of pop culture’s negative perceptions of Christians.”

Mr. Lyons is the founder of Q, a learning community that “mobilizes Christians to advance the common good in society.”

Prior to launching Q, Mr. Lyons co-founded Catalyst, a national gathering of young leaders. His work represents the perspectives of a new generation and he has been featured by CNN, The New York Times, Fox News and USA Today.

As part of Christ Church Greenwich’s ongoing Courage and Faith series, Mr. Lyons will speak on Saturday, Jan. 12 at 6:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall Loft. There will be a wine and cheese reception to open the evening.

There is no charge to attend, but reservations are required. Mr. Lyons will also be speaking Sunday morning at the 9:15 a.m. worship service and offering a follow-up talk and book signing afterward.

The Courage and Faith series has previously featured speakers such as Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Dr. Maya Angelou, N.T Wright and Rob Bell. For details or reservations visit Courageandfaith.org, or contact Christ Church Greenwich at 203-869-6600.
