Food, clothing donations urgently needed

With winter in full force, the town’s Neighbor to Neighbor food pantry needs donations and warm clothing more than ever to give to people in need.

At this time, the pantry urgently needs canned fruit, rice, beans, peanut butter (18 oz. size), tunafish (5 oz. size), jelly, pasta and pasta sauce. In addition to food, the pantry is also in need of new or clean, gently used clothing and bedding for infants and children of all sizes.

Each year, Neighbor to Neighbor provides 500 Greenwich families with 300,000 meals and 750 area families with 14,000 bags of clothes, all of which are donated by generous members of the community.

Donations to Neighbor to Neighbor can be made at 248 E. Putnam Avenue, on the grounds of Christ Church, Monday through Saturday mornings from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or Thursday afternoons from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
