Road closures and delays expected for Sunday’s Navigators Stamford KIC IT races

Segments of the Navigators Stamford KIC IT races to benefit Kids in Crisis will be going through portions of Stamford on Sunday morning, June 12, from about 7:30-10:30 a.m. Roads will be open, but drivers are urged to find alternate routes as heavy delays are expected.

Downtown Stamford roads that will be affected include:  Washington Boulevard, Tresser Boulevard, Canal Street, Magee Avenue, Jefferson Avenue, and Long Ridge Road; the majority of athletes will be arriving between 7:30-10 a.m. on these roads. All roads will be open except for the southbound lane of Washington Boulevard, which will be closed from 7:30-10 a.m.

Shippan area roads that will be affected include:  Shippan Avenue, Ocean Drive East, Westcott Road, Rockledge Drive, Sea Beach Drive, Hobson Street, Ocean Drive West, Ralsey Road South, South Sagamore Lane, Sagamore Road, and Harbor Drive; the majority of athletes will be arriving between 9-10:30 a.m. on these roads.
