YMCA to celebrate renovated digs tomorrow

The YMCA of Greenwich is preparing to celebrate the completion of its recent construction with a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house on tomorrow, Jan. 5 at 9 a.m. at 50 East Putnam Avenue.

Months after the dramatic step of finally being able to take down the outside stairs that for so long been a symbol of frustration with the ongoing construction, another milestone has been reached. To celebrate this, the Y has invited the community to join elected officials, local dignitaries and guests as they host the ribbon cutting to mark the completion of renovations and unveiling of an additional 40% of new programming space.

The ribbon cutting will be followed by free sampling of the programing available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tours will be available so people can get a look at all that the YMCA of Greenwich has to offer.
