In the opening game of the Nichols/Belmont Hill Tournament, the Brunswick School ice hockey team took to the ice against Upper Canada College, based out of Toronto, Ontario, and came away with the convincing 4-0 victory Friday afternoon.

The Brunswick seniors dominated play throughout the game, as Travis Buck, Harry Clifford and Peter Khoury each found the back of the net.

Defensively, Brunswick was led by senior goalie Gryphon Richardson, who pitched a shutout for the second time this season and finished with 25 saves.

Junior Liam Ferguson scored the other goal for Brunswick.

During Buck’s goal, senior Nick Viceconte and junior Brendan May picked up the assist, while senior Charlie Better and Clifford netted assists on Ferguson’s goal.

The Bruins return to action this morning at 11 when they battle Millbrook School. Later in the evening, Brunswick will hit the ice against No. 1 ranked Belmont Hill. Results in those games will determine the seedings for the semifinal round, which gets underway Sunday.
