Update: Round Hill Road reopened

Greenwich road blocked by tree, wires brought down by high winds

Monday, 1:14 p.m. — Round Hill Road has reopened, according to Greenwich Police. But wind has brought a tree and wires down on Hearthstone Drive, closing another route.

Monday, 10:44 a.m. — Round Hill Road in Greenwich is closed between Lake Avenue and Pecksland Road, where a tree and wires are down according to emergency services.

The earliest repairs could be completed, according to Greenwich Police on Twitter, is 1 p.m. If the repair work takes longer, the road closure could affect school buses taking students home.

The damage was caused by wind, police said on Twitter.

Round Hill Road ends at Lake Avenue. Pecksland Road is north of that, just east of Round Hill Golf Club, and travels north-south like Round Hill Road.
