Planting to attract bees and butterflies

The Friends and staff of Cos Cob Library welcome Mary Jo Bridge Palmer who will present a talk on Planting to Attract Bees and Butterflies Wednesday, May 18, at 7 p.m.

In the past 10 years the United States has lost over 50% of its managed honey bee colonies. We can do something about this by providing food and habitat for pollinators.

Mary Jo will discuss various flowers and shrubs that can be planted to attract bees and butterflies. Beautify your garden and at the same time, learn to sustain the Natural world.

This program is offered free to the public.

Mary Jo Bridge Palmer is an owner and retail sales manager at Sam Bridge Nursery & Greenhouses, LLC. She teaches gardening classes at the nursery and throughout Greenwich and surrounding areas. Mary Jo enjoys helping everyone be successful with all their garden needs.
