Native gardening to support butterflies

Native Gardening to Support Butterflies, Skippers & Moths with Kim Eierman will be held on Thursday, May 5, from 10:30-noon, at the Garden Education Center of Greenwich, 130 Bible Street, Cos Cob.

Lepidoptera (butterflies, skippers and moths) are some of the most beautiful creatures to grace our gardens. Unfortunately, quite a few species are declining, including the iconic Monarch butterfly. Kim will explain which plant species will best provide these treasured insects with the habitat, native host plants and nectar plants that they need to survive and flourish, some of which will be available to purchase from the GEC Greenhouse after the program or at our May Gardeners Market on May 7, from 9-4.

Cost: Members $35; Non-members $45.
