May Gardeners Market kickoff party supports Garden Education Center

The Garden Education Center of Greenwich, 130 Bible Street, Cos Cob, will hold their May Gardeners Market Cocktail Party kickoff on Wednesday, May 4, from 5-7 p.m.

There will be an assortment of plants for sale, a signature cocktail, appetizers donated by Whole Foods Markets and wine supplied by Cos Cob Liquor Store. Cocktail party guests will be the first to view and purchase   a wide variety of plants including vegetable plants all grown locally for the May Gardeners Market.             

May Gardeners Market continues to thrive as a popular community event for Greenwich residents and many others in Fairfield and Westchester County. This annual fundraiser supports the Educational and Senior Outreach programs of the Garden Education Center.

May Gardeners Market will be held on Saturday, May 7, from 9-4, rain or shine at the Garden Education Center of Greenwich in the Montgomery Pinetum. Now in its 54th year, MGM will feature more than 20 dealers who will gather at 130 Bible Street in Cos Cob, to offer a wide variety of plants, horticulturally inspired accessories and organic food products.

In addition, the annual Greenwich Garden Tour will be held on June 12.

The Garden Education Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting horticulture, conservation and the arts through educational outreach activities and special events.
