Police investigate underground garage thefts

Police are investigating multiple thefts that took place overnight between Dec. 11 and Dec. 12 in a common underground parking garage on Steamboat Road.

Forced entry was gained into the garage and several parked vehicles inside were entered or had parts stolen, according to police. One of the vehicles entered, a Mercedes CL63 AMG had all four wheels, tires and lug notes stolen, adding up to a total approximate value of $2,000. A second vehicle, an Infiniti G37 had a window smashed and the interior was ransacked. A GPS system and loose change was also taken from the car.

Police are continuing to investigate the thefts and are asking anyone with information about the incident to call the police tip line at 203-622-3333.
