Brunswick ice hockey ties Trinity Pawling, 4-4

In a physical game that saw both teams getting a ton of shots on net, the Brunswick School and Trinity Pawling ice hockey teams finished their contest with a 4-4 tie earlier today.

Brunswick’s Nick Jermain got the ball rolling for Brunswick in the first period, finding the back of the net at the 8:57 mark. Although Trinity Pawling tied the game six minutes later, the Bruins reclaimed the lead to start the second period, as Nick Viceconte found Travis Buck on the power play for the 2-1 lead.

Trinity Pawling remained calm and took a 3-2 lead midway through the second. However, the Bruins netted the equalizer with 11:27 gone by in the period, as Buck once again found the back of the net. Michael Faulkner and Stephen Seeger picked up assists on the play.

Brunswick’s final goal of the was the only goal of the third period and overtime. After Trinity took the lead to close out the second, Sebastian Foster took the puck from Peter Khoury and David Better and beat the Trinity goalie for the 4-4 score.

Brunswick goalie Gryphon Richardson finished with 45 saves on the day and the Bruins blasted 37 shots at the Trinity net.

With the tie, Brunswick moved its record to 1-2-1-0 on the season.
