Connecticut Sports Talk, April 20

It’s a Wednesday on Nutmeg Sports, and Donald Eng is able to step away from the Monroe Courier for a few minutes to co-host the show with Rob Adams. Dave Stewart, always “The FCIAC Guru,” joins the guys to catch up on everything going on in the conference. Who are the dominant teams, and can anyone catch them? These are the pressing questions that need to be answered.

To open the show, Rob introduces highlights of the Greenwich/Staples boys lacrosse game from Tuesday night. In a game of runs, Staples needed to rally to tie the Cardinals with just :05 left. It took double overtime to resolve the issue, and the Wreckers found the back of the net to grab the win. The HAN Network has Greenwich’s next game, on Thursday, at Cardinal Stadium when they host the New Canaan Rams.

Also on this edition of the show, we get ready for our coverage of boys volleyball, as Ridgefield hosts Darien later at 5 p.m. The two teams, both undefeated, will square off on the HAN Network. To end the show, we play back Rob’s conversation with members of the Ridgefield High team.

The HAN Network, formerly known as Hersam Acorn Newspapers, is the exclusive FCIAC broadcast partner through the spring of 2018.
