Personalized stones help fund Old Barn renovation

This holiday season, the Greenwich Point Conservancy (GPC) is selling one-of-a-kind gifts — personalized granite stones to help with the organization’s latest project, the renovation of Old Barn, which is the last remaining original building from the estate of J. Kennedy Tod.

This will be the only holiday season that the stones will be available for sale as the walkway that will be comprised of the stones is slated to be installed in 2013.

Situated next to the Cottage, the 1887 Old Barn is the oldest structure on Greenwich Point. The 1950’s era restrooms that currently block the view of the older structure will be removed, the stone and shingle exterior restored and the building opened from front to back, exposing views of the water and sky from the street side.

Each 6” x 12” granite stone costs $200. Stone order forms can be found at Abigail Fox Designs and Something Special in Old Greenwich as well as Treads & Threads in Greenwich. Return your completed form to one of these locations and receive a gift card
