Malloy will serve as keynote speaker at King class of 2016 commencement

CT Governor Dannel P. Malloy will be the Keynote Speaker for King Commencement 2016 — celebrating the Class of 2016 and the school’s 150th Anniversary. Commencement will be held on Friday, June 3, at 5 p.m.

Governor Malloy was born and raised in Stamford, and served four terms as Mayor. “King is pleased and honored to have Governor Malloy address our community as we celebrate our 150th year of educational excellence in the Stamford area,” said Head of School Tom Main. “As a Stamford native, I witnessed the incredible growth Malloy brought to this city as a four term Mayor. There is no better historian and friend to address our community.”

Governor Malloy is looking forward to returning to Stamford for this memorable day. “Returning to Stamford and addressing this group of future leaders is exciting. Education has always been a top priority for me and King continues to raise the bar in individualized teaching and learning.”

King is a private, co-educational day school for pre-kindergarten through grade 12 in Stamford. The school serves children and families from 30 towns in the Fairfield County, Connecticut and Westchester County, New York areas.
