Barlow assistant superintendent is guest speaker at Mondays at Seven

Gina-Marie Stenza Pin, assistant superintendent and head of school at Joel Barlow High School will present “Invicti Anima: Where resiliency skills and mindfulness meet” to Mondays at Seven networking group on Monday, April 4, at 8 a.m., at the United Methodist Church of Westport and Weston, 49 Weston Road, Westport.

The skills of resiliency can be learned and tucked away in a metaphorical toolbox where they can help us navigate our stress-filled paths. Mindful practice can help us keep our focus in the present moment and appreciate the journey we are on. At the intersection of resiliency and mindfulness lies Invicti Anima, the unconquered soul, our ability not only to survive but to thrive through all of life’s challenges.

These skills are very relevant to the challenges of job search.

Mondays at Seven ([email protected]) is one of the premier networking and job search skills organizations in Fairfield County. Our goals are to energize members’ career processes in job search, career change, or self-employment ideas. Its programs and resources benefit members in their job search, leverage the group’s alumni as a resource, and “pay it forward” to each other and the community.

Meetings are free and open to the public, but organizers do ask for a $1 contribution for coffee and bagels.

Further information is at the Meetup Group: Mondays-at-7. The email address is [email protected]. The website is mondaysat7.org; however, the recent announcements section is undergoing renovation.
