Splurge delivers 131 Easter baskets to local charities

SPLURGE announces record breaking results from their ninth-annual Easter Basket Drive. This year’s donation to Kids in Crisis and The Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County totaled 131 filled baskets. Nearly half of the Easter basket donations came from three local Girl Scout Troops.

SPLURGE owner Sonia Malloy shared, “We would like to recognize the incredibly generous efforts of Girl Scout Troops 50637, 50714 and 50387. Each year the local Girl Scouts support our Easter Basket Drive, but this year they really went the extra mile and we are all very grateful for their efforts.”  Malloy added, “We were a little concerned early last week when we had only collected about 40 Easter baskets, but many people brought baskets this week which was incredible.  We are very appreciative of the support from our amazing community. These donated Easter baskets will bring joy to many children in need.”
