Police say missing youth returns home

UPDATE WEDNESDAY 8:30 AM — Police now report that the 16-year-old boy has returned home unhurt. No further details have been released.

TUESDAY 5 PM — Police say 16-year-old town resident Jeremy O’Connell ran away from his Greenwich home Dec. 1 and has not been seen or heard from since.

Jeremy’s family believed he had snuck out of the house with some friends, but police said the friends have been interviewed and have not seen or spoken to him since his disappearance.

Jeremy is described as 5’10” tall, approximately 180 pounds and wears glasses. The only clothing description given was a black fleece jacket.

 

The boy has spoken about taking trips to Washington D.C., Ohio and California and has the means to facilitate these kinds of trips.

If anyone observes or has any information about Jeremy’s disappearance, contact the police department immediately at 203-662-8004.
