Many today are mourning Weston native Victoria McGrath, who nearly three years ago survived the Boston Marathon bombing, and has died in a car crash overseas.

In an update on a story we brought you yesterday, Christopher Plaskon, charged with the stabbing death of fellow student Maren Sanchez in the hallway of Jonathan Law High School in Milford in April 2014, Monday entered a plea of no contest at Milford Superior Court.

A Shelton man is in “serious condition” after the back left tire from a trailer smashed his windshield in a route 8 accident involving three vehicles on Sunday afternoon, March 6.

A drunk driver from New Haven struck and killed Trumbull resident Vincent Pezzella Sunday morning,according to Milford police.

In other Milford news today, Two off-duty police officers, with the help of an alert bank customer, apprehended a bank robber Monday before he could make off with cash from the bank.

 Connecticut State Police, a state police cruiser was broken into this morning and a rifle was among the items stolen.

An 18-year old Easton man is under investigation for the assault of a 49-year old Redding resident, Redding police said Tuesday.

A Stamford woman has been banned from the Darien Library following an outburst on March 3. Darien officers were dispatched to the neighboring library at about 4:30 p.m. after library staff reported a disruptive patron.

In Wilton, part of a house on Belden Hill Road caught fire Monday, March 7, damaging the residence and forcing a road closure from Old Belden Hill Road to Grist Mill Road. No injuries were reported.

In Ridgefield, Anne McDermott of Topstone Drive was falling asleep about 11:30 p.m. last Monday when she heard a noise out on her screened-in porch and sprang to her feet to find out what was the matter.
