‘Shopping spree’ benefits Trust

The Christmas shopping season is officially at hand and Greenwich Avenue is expected to be packed this year with holiday traffic.

And while people are shopping at one of the Avenue’s most popular stores, they will have a chance to help out an organization dedicated to preserving Greenwich’s past. On Dec. 6, the Greenwich Preservation Trust will hold a Historical Holiday Spree at Saks Fifth Avenue on Greenwich Avenue where people can mingle, enjoy a drink and check out the line of Saks holiday offerings all while benefiting the trust in its efforts to preserve Greenwich’s historical buildings and lands.

The spree is scheduled between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 6 and shoppers are invited to come to Saks. The festivities will also include a modeling show and an auction. And 10% of all the proceeds from Saks’ sales at the event will go to the Greenwich Preservation Trust.
