Several Greenwich High seniors sign their letters of intent

Earlier today, the Greenwich High School athletic department held its signing day, where seniors officially let college athletic departments know where they plan on attending.

Alex Moeser will be playing lacrosse for Hofstra University, while Emily Johnson will be playing lax at the University of Denver. Danny Guise will be swinging for the green when he joins the Wake Forest University golf team.

When it comes to tennis, GHS has two athletes playing for colleges, as Jennifer DeLuca will be traveling up North and will play for Providence College and Zachary Niklaus will compete for the University of Delaware.

Two of Greenwich’s finest baseball talents take their talents locally, as Taylor Olmstead will lace up his cleats with the University of Connecticut and Ryan Marks will play for Columbia University. Playing at Harvard University will be Pieter Zenner, as he will take his talents on the Crimson’s soccer field.

Rounding out the signings today were the duo of Jacqueline Shilen and Emma Schauder. Both share a part of history at GHS, as they are the first two athletes to attend college on an equestrian scholarship. Shilen will compete for Auburn University, while Schauder will be a Bulldog and attend the University of Georgia.
