Light up the town tomorrow

It’s time, once again, to light up Town Hall for the holidays.

The Department of Parks and Recreation has announced the annual holiday tree lighting ceremony will take place in front of Town Hall Friday, Nov. 30 from 3:45 to 4:30 p.m.

This year’s ceremony will feature a holiday message from First Selectman Peter Tesei, a visit from Santa, Mrs. Claus, Frosty and Rudolph, a mechanical polar bear and reindeer rides.

The Greenwich High School Chamber Singers will also be there to entertain participants with festive holiday songs. In addition, there will be cider, hot chocolate, cookies, candy canes and plenty of holiday cheer.
