ARI of Connecticut hosts 10th annual Walk for Independence

ARI of Connecticut will host the 10th annual Walk for Independence on Sunday, May 1, at 10 a.m., at Cove Island Park in Stamford.

Registration begins at 10 a.m.; Opening ceremonies at 11 a.m., Walk starts at 11:15 a.m. and Picnic at noon.

Join consumers, staff and supporters in this 3-mile walk to raise funds to support programs at ARI of Connecticut, Inc.  ARI provides an array of services and supports for nearly 150 individuals with developmental disabilities so they can live happy, productive lives and achieve their fullest potential at home, at work and in the community.  Proceeds from the event will fund programs that enrich the lives of the people we serve and their families. Please note that ARI will provide parking passes to attendees who do not have a Stamford Beach Sticker.

ARI invites the public to walk in support of those who receive services at ARI.  This year’s warm up will be led by Eleanor Casale from Dance with El and clowns from the Stamford Hospital Ha Ha group will be on hand. There is no fee to participate; anyone donating/raising at least $50 will receive a T-shirt.

ARI is seeking sponsors for this event.  Sponsorship levels range from “Team Sponsorship” ($150) up to “Title Event Sponsorship” ($5,000).
