Every vote counts

At Eagle Hill School, the first day back after Hurricane Sandy coincided with the presidential election on Nov. 6. Since the school’s election day would be a culmination of studies about the presidential election process in their history and tutorial classes, the school decided to go ahead with their election process. The teachers were all provided with a link that the students could log into and place their vote. To commemorate their part in the process, each student received a sticker that said “I voted. Kids vote too!” At the end of the day, the data was collected from the link and Eagle Hill’s own presidential victor was determined. At left, Eagle Hill Students Maddie Ings and Nora Sternlicht proudly show off their “I Voted. Kids vote too!” stickers that they received after placing their vote.
