Flu, pneumonia vaccinations being offered

Starting this week, through the town’s Department of Health’s Family Health Division, influenza and pneumonia vaccinations will be offered at the weekly scheduled Immunization and Blood Pressure Clinic in Town Hall located on the third floor on Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. No appointment is necessary.

Participants 65-years-old or older must bring their Medicare Part B card or Medicare Advantage ID card or a fee of $34 for influenza vaccination and/or $50 for pneumonia vaccination will be charged. Medicare Advantage Plans do not cover pneumonia immunizations at public clinics. Personal checks can be made payable to the Town of Greenwich. Medicaid and credit cards will not be accepted.

If you are paying by cash, exact change will be appreciated. Please wear short sleeves if possible. The public is encouraged to call the Department of Health flu information line for up-to-date information at 203-622-3774.
