Greenwich Hospital holds events to mark American Heart Month

Greenwich Hospital’s annual Heart Health Fair on Thursday, Feb. 25 will cap a month-long series of hospital events to mark national American Heart Month.

The free Heart Health Fair will take place in the hospital’s Noble Conference Center from 8 to 11 a.m. Educators, pharmacists, dietitians, holistic practitioners and other healthcare professionals will be on hand to answer questions about prevention, risk and treatment options for heart conditions.

“With heart disease the leading cause of death for both men and women in the United States, Greenwich Hospital has long been committed to providing specialized cardiac services, including screening, prevention, emergency care, treatment and rehabilitation,” said Norman G. Roth, president of Greenwich Hospital. “Our goal is to keep people heart healthy and have the state-of-the-art resources available when the need for acute cardiac care arises.”
