Rabbi Dave Almog

Rabbi Dave Almog

Greenwich Reform Synagogue hosts a free lecture, From Judaism to Tibetan Buddhism and Back, about the personal journey taken by Rabbi Dave Almog and the similarities and differences he has discovered between Judaism and Buddhism Sunday, Jan. 31, 9:30-11:30 a.m., North Street School, Greenwich.

Rabbi Dave’s study of Buddhism took him to India, where he taught English to Tibetan monks, followed by a renewed interest in Jewish spiritual living. He was ordained in 2005, served as the campus rabbi for the Columbia University Hillel, and is now a doctoral student at the Jewish Theological Seminary.
