Making Thanksgiving table arrangements

Ready for Thanksgiving?

After the twin storms of Hurricane Sandy and the election you might not quite be prepared for the holidays but help is out there for people looking to give their Thanksgiving tables a festive feel this year.

The Garden Education Center (GEC) of Greenwich, located at 130 Bible Street, will present a Thanksgiving Table Arrangement Workshop on Monday, Nov. 19 at 10 a.m.

The GEC said that this workshop will be led by award winning flower arranger and judge Ellen Avellino and the GEC’s favorite floral designer Miriam Landsman to show people how to design their Thanksgiving centerpiece.

They will supply all the materials and a container to make a beautiful arrangement plus the guidance to get it done.

The only thing that interested people need to bring is their clippers.

The cost is $80 for members and $90 for nonmembers. Pre-registration is required.

To register for this program, visit GECGreenwich.org or call 203-869-9242.
