Community tickets for GTP Music Festival go on sale Feb. 2

Community tickets will go on sale Tuesday, Feb. 2 at 10 a.m., for the sixth annual Greenwich Town Party (GTP), the all-day family-friendly music festival planned for Saturday, May 28 from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. at the Roger Sherman Baldwin Park.

Hall-and-OatesFIRock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees Daryl Hall & John Oates will headline. Grammy award winners John Fogerty and Tedeschi Trucks Band will also rock this year’s crowd. Held annually on the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend, the GTP brings multiple generations of Greenwich residents together to celebrate town pride and the spirit of giving through live music, local food favorites, and family fun activities.  Block Party Ticket Sets, a pre-sale opportunity comprised of six Community tickets, will be on sale starting at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19 through Monday, Feb. 1.

On Tuesday, Feb. 2, Community Tickets, which cost $85 and provide general admission to the event, will be available for purchase starting at 10 a.m. on the GTP website greenwichtownparty.org. In order to purchase tickets, one must be a Greenwich resident, Greenwich business owner, or Greenwich business employee.

These tickets have historically sold out in a matter of hours, so organizers recommend purchasing tickets as soon as they go on sale so as not to be left out.  All ticket levels will be available for purchase on a first-come, first-serve basis on the GTP website. No tickets will be sold at Town Hall.

Prior to the Feb. 2 on-sale date, in order to ensure general admission to this year’s GTP, Greenwich residents and businesses will have a pre-sale opportunity to secure the Block Party Ticket Set, which includes six Community Tickets for $750. This set will be available from Jan. 19 through Feb. 1.

About the Greenwich Town Party

Sponsored by the Greenwich Town Party, Inc., a non-profit organization qualifying as a public charity under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, the party is a volunteer-supported community event. The GTP is created entirely by the people of Greenwich, for the people of Greenwich. Sponsorships and substantial donations from town residents and local businesses provide the majority of party funding each year, allowing more people to attend. Thanks to the continued generosity of sponsors and donors, the ticket prices have been reduced to a fraction of what they would have been for such a large event. Every donation to the Greenwich Town Party above $25 is matched by one generous donor.
