Helping Hands Outreach helps Needs Clearing House

Bridgeport’s April Barron of the charity Helping Hands Outreach is helping Greenwich Charity, The Needs Clearing a House, to help a 23-year-old woman with severe kidney problem…and who is also 24 weeks pregnant…get to and through the delivery and the kidney surgery she will likely need to repair a botched surgery from her home country.

Joe Kaliko says that “NCH was contacted by a nurse at Greenwich Hospital concerning the next 14 weeks when this perspective mother needs food and transportation to and from the hospital.”

NCH has arranged, according to Kaliko, for the transportation which will be handled by TAG (The Transportation Association of Greenwich).

NCH and Helping Hands Outreach together will supplement the three days per week food coming from Neighbor to Neighbor…with the other four days worth of food each week until the young woman delivers.

Helping Hands Outreach and Mothers for Others are looking into helping with baby/maternity cloths, pampers, wipes, etc.

NCH is coordinating with the Greenwich Department of Social Services and Kids in Crisis regarding new born counseling and services…with an eye toward helping the mother post surgery if she needs a further kidney operation and/or required further assistance

Helping Hands Outreach is helping NCH bring all these pieces of assistance together for this young perspective mother, now living in a one room apartment in Greenwich with no known family or money.
