Parents, tots invited to interactive animal programs

Greenwich families will have the chance to let their toddlers go wild this month as the Animal Embassy Nature Specialists bring their distinctive program to Selma Maisel Nursery School in Greenwich for a free special event geared toward one to two-year-olds.

The nursery’s unique Discovery Center provides children with a safe, one-of-a-kind environment in which they can actively participate in the hands-on experience of caring for and feeding small animals and for three days this month, nature specialists from the Animal Embassy will be bringing in additional animals to provide their interactive and entertaining program to both parents and children.

The program is free and will take place on today, Nov. 8 from 10 to 11 a.m., Monday, Nov. 26 from 11 a.m. to noon and Tuesday, Nov. 27 from 10 to 11 a.m.

All are welcome but space is limited and it is recommended that participants reserve their place for one of the dates in advance.

Additionally, parents are invited to view the active Nursery School for ages two to four and to sign up for a school tour.

Registration is now open. The school is located at Temple Shalom in Greenwich at 300 East Putnam Avenue.
