Kids in Crisis to be recipient of 5% Day at Whole Foods

Gwch-Whole-FoodsWhole Foods Market Greenwich has chosen Kids in Crisis as the recipient of its 5% Day on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016. The store will be donating 5% of all purchases made that day to Kids in Crisis, which recently announced a cut in $750,000 of funding from the State of Connecticut.

Whole Foods Market Greenwich is located at 90 East Putnam Avenue and is open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Representatives from Kids in Crisis will be on hand to share information about the agency’s emergency shelter and community programs.

KIC-newlogoKids in Crisis (www.kidsincrisis.org) is Connecticut’s only free, round-the-clock agency providing emergency shelter, crisis counseling and community educational programs for children of all ages and families dealing with a wide range of crises — domestic violence, mental health and family problems, substance abuse, economic difficulties and more. Since its founding in 1978, Kids in Crisis has helped more than 132,000 Connecticut children and families; last year, 6,184 children and families received assistance from the organization.
