Halloween will be on Sunday

It may be November but don’t put away your candy pails and witch’s brooms just yet — Halloween in Greenwich is on its way.

Due to the effects of Superstorm Sandy and the pending inclement weather this week, the town has rescheduled Halloween for this Sunday, Nov. 11.

Given the recent daylight-savings time change, the town recommends that children go trick-or-treating between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.

With temperatures expected to return to the mid 50s this weekend, it looks like October weather will hang on long enough to let young residents get their fill of sweet treats.
