Doggone Run/Walk 5k to benefit Frankie’s Friends

Doggone Run/Walk 5k benefiting Frankie’s Friends is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 8, as part of the Generosity NYC 5K in Riverside Park on the West Side. Funds raised by participants will support Frankie’s Friends’ mission of saving New York City-area pets with life-threatening diseases.

Generosity NYC pairs healthy activities with charitable fund-raising on behalf of many different NYC charities. Frankie’s Friends is the only animal charity participating in the Nov. 8 5k. The event features a professional pre-race warm-up and stretch, professional announcer, one-of-a-kind race gear, and “an amazing time with friends, family, neighbors, co-workers and other charitable individuals like you,” says Danielle Piazza of Frankie’s Friends.

“We want to make this fun and easy,” Piazza says. “Participants register, create their own teams for fundraising – or participate as individuals — and then run or walk with us, raising money for a great cause.” Participants will receive a dri-fit running shirt, a personalized fundraising page and a guaranteed spot in the race.

Dogs on leash are welcome. Registration is open at frankiesfriends.com/NewYork. For more information, contact Danielle at 888-847-0074 or [email protected]

Mission: Frankie’s Friends is a non-profit foundation dedicated to finding cures and saving pets with cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
