Free performance: Sight Unseen by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright

M&M Performing Arts Company, Inc. will present a free performance of Sight Unseen on Saturday, Nov. 21, at 2 p.m., in the Cole Auditorium. This latest work from the brilliant mind of Donald Margulies was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize and won an Obie for Best New American Play. Ed Friedman will direct.

The play centers on Brooklyn-born Jonathan Waxman who has become a very wealthy, critically acclaimed artist. Happily married, with a baby on the way, he travels to London for a retrospective of his work. While there, he impulsively decides to journey to the English countryside to visit his former model and muse where she lives and works with her husband Nick, a man she married in order to remain in England when her student visa expired. The play explores issues of identity, home, and the place of art in our society.

The play will be brought to life by actors from M&M Performing Arts Company including, Robin Gorn, Steve Plaushin, P.J. Glazer and Nadia Winter. Director Ed Friedman is excited to present this thought-provoking new play to libraries throughout the region.
