Connecticut State Representative Livvy R. Floren

The Glenville Volunteer Fire Company will honor Connecticut State Representative Livvy R. Floren, at the Inaugural David N. Theis Award for Outstanding Service to the Community on Oct. 22, at 6 p.m., at Tamarack Country Club on Locust Road in Greenwich.

The event includes a cocktail reception with appetizers and a silent auction featuring sports and rare Hollywood memorabilia.

Livvy Floren will be honored for her tireless efforts on behalf of the Greenwich community. Dave Theis, in whose memory the award honorsis named, was a third-generation Greenwich resident, who made major contributions to the community as a public servant and volunteer in many nonprofit organizations. According to Ron Brien, a member of the Fire Company’s event committee, “Livvy is the epitome of an individual that truly places the needs and wants of others first. Dave was a Town treasure. This is a very special event, one not to miss.” PProceeds of the evening will help Glenville Volunteer Fire Company to purchase a Brush-Fire Truck, the first of its kind in the Town.

Honorary Co-Chairs include Kerrin Coyle, Hon. L. Scott and Icy Frantz, Hon. Drew Marzullo, Hon. Peter Tesei and Hon. John Toner.

Steering Committee members include Hon. Richard Blumenthal, Shannon Bocchino, Dorothy Getsie, Hon. Lile Gibbons, Hon. Tom Foley, Leslie Fahrenkopf Foley, Leora Levy, Hon. Dolly Powers, Sue Rogers and Stephen A. Warzoha.
